The United Methodist protestant community is a great place for making new friends and doing fun things with a group of active people. Some of the recent events have included a Student vs. Chaplain "Bowling Fiesta," Interfaith Volleyball, a Fall Harvest Festival (complete with hayride and bonfire), Christmas Party, movie nights, dinners in Georgetown, Halloween murder mystery parties, and coffeehouses in the dorm lounges.

There are also regular fellowship opportunities two times a week. After worship at Kay Chapel on Sunday evenings, the group meets briefly for refreshments and conversation in the downstairs lounge. This fellowship begins around 8 p.m. and ends usually by 8:30 (though some of us like to keep the conversation going at the Tavern afterwards!).

Lunches and Dinners

On Wednesdays, we usually meet at 8 p.m. in the Marketplace of the Mary Graydon Center.

In addition, the UM Chaplain regularly invites small groups of students out for a free lunch. It's a great way to get to know the chaplain and each other--and the cost can't be beat!

Monthly Methodist Movie Night

Every month, usually on the first Tuesday of the month, we show a movie that relates to a current spiritual or political issue, or sometimes, just for fun. The movies are free and we provide free pizza, snacks, and beverages to everyone. For information on our next movie night, click here.
