Community Hike at Great Falls
(a.k.a. "They don't call it the Billy Goat Trail for nothin'")

Okay, so the hike didn't start out so bad. Just a winding path through the woods.
The whole crew on an overlook of the Potomac.
It doesn't look it, but this is actually a trail. That little blue paint mark on the rock at center says it is. Not quite the same hike as at the beginning.

I thought about a number of titles for this photo:

"Adventures in Microbiology"

"How to worry your ex-lawyer-chaplain over issues of liability."

"You're not riding home in my car smelling like that"

Closing in on Great Falls: another panoramic view.

A slight, uh, challenge along the path, where the path was less path than it was sheer rock face.

There were no injuries.

A glimpse of the Falls at Great Falls, just minutes before we all collapsed from exhaustion, satisfied from a beautiful day hiking in nature.
