Sunday, August 19—Ice Cream & Game Night, 9:00 p.m.—11:30 midnight, Kay Steps/Kay Lounge

Join the United Methodist Student Association (UMSA) and Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship as we share in some ice cream on the Kay steps and then meet downstairs in the Kay Lounge for a game night.

Monday, August 20—Movie with the Methodists, 9:00 p.m.—11:30 midnight, Kay Lounge

Join the UM-Protestant Community in watching Superman Returns. Free snacks and refreshments will be provided. Hang around afterwards to talk about the movie or just meet new people.

Tuesday, August 21—Late Night Tour of the Monuments, 10:00 p.m.--12 midnight, Leave from Kay Chapel

Come with the UMSA for a nighttime tour of the monuments followed by some ice cream or other refreshments out on the town.

Wednesday, August 22—Kay Interfaith Event—Cupcakes on the Quad, Late nite (10 p.m.), in front of Kay

Join the interfaith community as we provide cupcakes as a snack in honor of our own "flaming cupcake" the Kay Spiritual Life Center.

Thursday, August 23—Communion & Healing Service, 11:00 p.m., Kay Chapel

Every Thursday night our community offers a contemplative service of communion, reflection, and intercessory prayer. During the school year it’s a great break during the middle of the week.

Friday, August 24—S’mores with s’Methodists, 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m., Kay Steps

Cap off your first week at AU by joining us for some s’mores in front of the Kay Chapel.

Sunday, August 26—Sunday Worship, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Kay Chapel

Join us for our informal-traditional Sunday night worship in the Kay Chapel, held every Sunday at 7 p.m. and get to meet all the members of the community. Stay around afterwards for fellowship and snacks.

Wednesday, August 29—Outdoor Game Night, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Quad in front of Kay

Come to the quad in front of Kay for an evening of outdoor games and join us for kickball, snacks, music, and other fun.

Saturday, September 1—Baseball Outing to RFK Stadium, 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Depart from Kay Chapel

We’ll be traveling by Metro to RFK Stadium to see the Washington Nationals play the San Francisco Giants. Cost: $10.00 per ticket.

Saturday, September 9—Hike in the Rock Creek Park, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Depart from Kay Chapel

Join the UMSA for a hike at the beautiful Rock Creek Park. Bring a picnic lunch, a camera, and your hiking shoes.

Thursday, September 13,—Feed the Quad, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Our annual free cookout on the quad. We give away over 400 burgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs to anyone who comes on by.

Friday, Sept. 14 to Saturday, Sept. 15—Community Retreat in the Shenandoah

Our annual fall retreat in Virginia, in the mountains of the Shenandoah, at the cabin of the University Chaplain. Get away from campus for a bit, enjoy the beautiful countryside, and take some time to reflect with other members of the community.
