UM Cross & Flame American University United Methodist Community

We’ve got Sunday covered... what about the other six days?

More than church on Sunday » "The Other Six Days" is a program designed to put faith into action and to put action into a context of faith. Your faith doesn't end at the chapel door, why should the way you live it stop there?

The United Methodist Community devotes each of the full months during the academic year to a local or global issue that intersects with Christian responsibility. Each month, we sponsor a monthly educational opportunity, a community action, and will dedicate one of our worship services to address the issue.

A devotion to active faith » Christian faith is about more than going to church and reading the Bible. It's a way of living. e believe that the education we choose, the jobs we take, and the community action in which we are involved should not exist on a plane separate from our faith and worship. Join us in discerning how to live out a life of faith.

Semester Program Schedule

Our programming for each month is designed around a specific theme dealing with social, environmental, or restorative justice. Expect your whole person to be engaged throughout the month, from worship experience to community action, from discussion forums to social justice advocacy. Schedule subject to change.
