What does our Healing worship look like?

In addition to regular worship services, we offer a weekly prayer and healing service each Thursday at 11:00 pm in the Kay Chapel. "Healing" in its Christian context does not mean the curing of disease or illness, but helping persons toward spiritual wholeness through prayer and support.

This intimate service includes a brief meditation and hymn singing. Special features are the celebration of Holy Communion followed by prayers of intercession individually and collectively. If desired, individuals can make individual, personal prayers and requests directly to the chaplain. In such cases, the privacy of the information shared is protected by a musical background of hymns or classical music.

The AU United Methodist-Protestant Community is an open and ecumenical fellowship for all students, faculty, and staff regardless of age, race, gender, ability, sexual orientation, denomination, or religious background.
